The positions listed below are not necessarily reflective of current vacancies, and Suwannee Valley 4Cs accepts applications and resumes from interested applicants regardless of any openings. All applicants must pass DCF background screenings before being offered a position. In addition to specific position requirements, all teaching positions require a 40-hour DCF and a 5-hour literacy course. Please note that applicants must provide copies of all certifications, degree transcripts, and high school diplomas.

HEAD START LEAD TEACHER (FOR 3-5-YEAR-OLDS)

Minimum of an A.S. degree in early childhood education or related field required.
Three years of classroom experience with young children required (pre-school age preferred)

HEAD START TEACHER ASSISTANT (FOR 3-5-YEAR-OLDS)

FCCPC/CDA Required
3 years classroom experience with pre-school age children preferred

HEAD START TEACHER TRAINEE, FULL OR PART-TIME (FOR 3-5-YEAR-OLDS)

DCF child care training parts I and II required
3 years classroom experience with pre-school age children preferred

EARLY HEAD START TEACHER (FOR INFANTS-3-YEAR-OLDS)

FCCPC/CDA required and training in early childhood development with a focus on infant/toddler development
3 years classroom experience with infants/toddlers preferred

EARLY HEAD START TEACHER TRAINEE (FOR INFANTS-3 YEAR OLDS)

DCF child care training parts I and II required
1 year of classroom experience working with infants/toddlers preferred

Creating lasting change

At SV4C’s, our goal is to have both an immediate impact on the lives of the children and families we serve as well as to create sustainable and lasting impact that will brighten not only their future but the future of generations to come.

SV4C's is a program I would strongly recommend. It's helped my family tremendously. 24 years ago, I enrolled my firstborn Angelica in this program, and ever since I have been very appreciative of their services. I was allowed to volunteer while she attended the Jasper Learning Center. I later started working with SV4C's and now 21 years later. I have taught and worked with at least a couple of my formal students and their children. Now I can't wait for my grandchild to attend as well.

I love the program. All seven of my kids attended. My children loved coming to school. I have two currently attending and will have my twins enrolled soon. They're almost one!
